MusicSHOP Online Retail Promotion
The musicSHOP program will showcase 12 - 24 artists
per month in a branded site-wide music merchandising showcase throughout
SHOP.COM. musicSHOP reaches 6 - 10 million unique shoppers every month,..
the primary customers are women (72%, men 28%), ages 30 - 55 yrs. This
is a very active consumer that is still buying CDs, and makes a majority
of purchasing decisions for the household. musicSHOP is designed to
drive sales of featured music titles by directing consumers through
SHOP.COM's partner retailers such as TARGET.COM, BUY.COM, JR.COM, DEEPDISCOUNT.COM,
ALIBRIS.COM and Other online Music Retailers, to make purchases of
featured titles.
The centerpiece of the musicSHOP program will be the musicSHOP flash
audio player. When launched, the musicSHOP player will stream a track
from each featured release, and include front end announcement, album
cover, direct buy link, links to YouTube, MySpace, artist’s site
and links to artist related content (video, websites, fan sites, etc)
as approved by the label.
